Mrs. Twila Lorraine Clark of Curtin died Sep. 10, 1999, in an automobile accident. She was 73.
Mrs. Clark was born Oct. 2, 1925, in Trego County, Kan. to William and Hilda Johnson Lynd.
She married Merl F. Clark, Sr. in Reno, Nev., on April 5, 1948. He preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 1982.
She lived in WaKeeney, Kan., moving to Curtin in 1948.
Mrs. Clark attended Fort Hays Kansas University and Kansas Wesleyan University. She later worked as a full-time homemaker and mother.
She was first and foremost dedicated to her home and family. She also enjoyed gardening and Christian music.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Cottage Grove.
Mrs. Clark is survived by three sons, Merl Clark Jr and Bryce Clark of Curtin and Garth Clark of Cottage Grove; three daughters, Lynda Godell of Eugene, Debra O'Bryant of Veneta and Treva Thompson of Springfield; a sister, Neva Butcher of WaKeeney, Kan.; five brothers, Alden Lynd of Kremmling, Colo., Raymond Lynd of Hill City, Kan., Marvin Lynd of WaKeeny, Kan., Ronald Lynd of Alexandria, La., and Delmar Lynd of Ellis, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove with burial at Comstock Cemetery, in Curtin.
