Of Keene, formerly of Lancaster, MA, was in Surry in 1838 at no. 38. Said to have died at age 58, although Keene Sentinel reported age as 62.

Married 1st on November 28, 1815, Mrs. Polly (Wyman) Rugg. She died 6/18/1841. Children all born at Lancaster, MA: Benjamin Wyman, Amos Gilman, Samuel Gilman, Nathaniel.

Marred 2nd on March 9, 1842, Mrs. Theodosia (Kingsbury) Barney of Alstead. She died May 3, 1879. No children of this marriage.

Married 3rd Mrs. Electa (Morton) Purcell. One child: Ella, born about 1847. Ella died in Chicago about 1905.
