Putty moved to Rockland in his late teens, and has lived here since that time.
In 1961, he married Mildred F. "Bubby" Wall. Mrs. Andrews died in 1986.
For more than 25 years, Putty was employed with the Rockland Cemetery Association. He took particular pride in the detailed care he and his co-workers provided in the maintenance of the cemeteries.
Putty is survived by two step-children, Juanita "Sister" Myrick of Rockland, Ernest "GG" Gray and his wife Terry of Warren; one brother Ralph Andrews and his wife Terri of Leipsic, OH; five sisters, Helen DeMass and her husband Richard of Warren, Vera Andrews, Nancy Hizer both of Ohio, Serene Davis, Mary Larkin both of New Hampshire; several step-grandchildren; close friends Lottie Gendron and her son Scott Read of Bath, Brenda Davis and her three children; as well as several nieces and nephews.
