Rodney Wallace McMahan, 83, of West Union, SC, husband of Geraldine Kilby McMahan, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at Oconee Medical Center.
A native of Oconee County, Mr. McMahan was the son of the late J.B. and Kate Lusk McMahan. He was retired from Seneca Journal after 21 years and later retired from Duke Power after 16 years. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and member of Fairview Southern Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. McMahan is survived by sons, David McMahan (Michelle) and Lewis McMahan (Debbie), both of West Union; daughters, Telesa Weeks and Mary Jane Giordano (Joseph), both of Greenville; and six grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McMahan was predeceased by sisters, Bernice Niedringhaus and Irene Julian; and brother, Furman L. McMahan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 23, 2010, from Fairview Southern Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
