Funeral services for Juanita A. Woods, age 103, of Verdigre will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Brockhaus Funeral Home at Creighton.
Reverend Norman Prather will officiate with burial at Riverside Cemetery at Verdigre.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning until service time at Brockhaus Funeral Home at Creighton.
Juanita Agnes (Dvorak) Woods, daughter of Frank and Anna (Kucera) Dvorak, was born on January 20, 1907 at Madison, Nebraska. She attended rural schools and graduated from high school in 1925 at Verdigre, Nebraska. Juanita married Clifford Woods on February 22, 1928 at Creighton. Two children were born to them, Donovan and Dennis. Clifford and Juanita farmed in Knox County until Clifford's death in 1966. After his death, she moved to Verdigre where she resided until she entered Alpine Village in November of 2005.
She was a member of the UCC Church at Center.
Juanita died Monday, December 20, 2010 at Alpine Village at Verdigre, Nebraska.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Woods and wife Donna of Norfolk; six grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; her son, Donovan; daughter-in-law, Nettie; parents; and one sister, Mildred Hammer.
