DELPHOS - Clarence L. Cain, 75, died Tuesday at his Delphos home.

He was born Sept. 7, 1908, at Asherville, and moved to Delphos as a child. He owned and operated the Cain Grain Co. for 45 years, retiring in 1976.

He was an Army Veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Delphos American Legion and the Delphos Cemetery Board. He had served on the Ottawa County Commission.

Mr. Cain also was a 50-year-old member and recording secretary of the IOOF Lodge, and was a member of the Delphos Lions Club and the Delphos First Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder and the financial secretary.

Surviving are his wife, Neva M., of the home; two brothers, H.C., Delphos, and O.L., Denver, Colo., and a sister, Mrs. Grace Rice, Delphos. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church, Delphos, the Rev. Sharon Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Delphos Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to the church.
