Mrs. Alley Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. George T. (Mabel L.) Alley, 66, of 3501 Carmel Drive, died Thursday morning at Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 1, 1898, in Welch, Va., and was reared and educated in Virginia. She was married in Castlewood, Va., in 1923.
Mr. and Mrs. Alley moved to Christopher, Ill., where he was superintendent of a coal mine for many years. He preceded her in death in 1955.
Mrs. Alley came to Casper two years ago to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Robert V. Davis, 3501 Carmel Drive.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Mrs. Alley is survived by her daughter; a son, George T. Alley, Jr., of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Snell, Mrs. Don Burgess and Mrs. John Street, all of North Carolina; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Alley will be announced later by the Bustard Funeral Home.
