JOSEPH W. HEITZ DIES AT BUTLER TOWNSHIP HOME
Funeral to be Held at Cedar Chapel

Funeral services for the late Joseph W. Heitz, member of a pioneer Butler township family, will be held Tues day afternoon at 2 o'clock at Cedar Chapel. The Rev. J. O. McKinley of Butler Center, will officiate and burial will be made in the nearby cemetery.

The death of Mr. Heitz took place Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock at his home, four miles south of Garrett on road 27. He had been ailing for some years and suffered two strokes of paralysis. His fatal illness started last Wednesday at noon, a blood clot forming in his leg.

Mr. Heitz was past eighty years of age, having been born Sept. 22, 1856, on the farm where he died. He was a son of Joseph and Rebecca Heitz and was the last survivor of eleven children.

He and Sabina Ober were Married in March, 1886, and she died eleven years ago.

Surviving are four children, Miss Audrey Heitz and Arthur Heitz, at home, Walter, also residing in Butler township, and Mrs. Francis Parker of Fort Wayne; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Heitz was a member of the Methodist Protestant church at Butler Center.

The body was prepared at the Geo. W. Iler funeral home.
