Cresencia Medina Aldrete, age 80, of Oxnard, passed away suddenly on Dec. 27, 2010. Cresencia was born on Dec. 29, 1929 in San Martin de las Flores, Jalisco, Mexico. She was the daughter of Fortino Medina and Angelina Monroy. Cresencia married Ramon Aldrete in 1952. They were married for 49 years. She lived in Oxnard since 1964. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Cresencia is preceded in death by her parents, Fortino and Angelina; her husband, Ramon; her children, Evangelina, Leticia, and Ramon Jr.; brothers, Florencio and Jose; sisters, Guadalupe and Maria. She is survived by her children, Juan (Angelica), Jose (Delia) and Francisco (Alejandra); her seven grandchildren, Ernie, Christian, Jessica, Daniel, Melissa, Jacqueline and Paulina Aldrete; her sister, Jesus Medina and her brother, Remigio Medina. Mam la extraamos y la queremos mucho. Siempre vivir en nuestros corazones. Mother, we miss you and love you very much. You shall live in our hearts always.
Funeral services honoring the life of Cresencia Medina Aldrete will begin with a visitation from 12:30 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Church of Christ Chapel, 630 South A Street in Oxnard, across the street from Garcia Mortuary Chapel. A rosary is to follow at 6 p.m. at Santa Clara Chapel, 1333 E. Ventura Boulevard in Oxnard. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, at Santa Clara Chapel in Oxnard. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery.
