Adeline J. Marshall, age 71, passed away on June 19, 1989 at her home following a lingering illness. She was born on November 24, 1917 in DeForest, daughter of Willie and Geah Lothe. She married Earl Marshall on February 6,1958 in St. Joseph, MO. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1989. She graduated from Madison East High School. She was employed for many years at the J. G. Van Holten & Sons, Waterloo. She was a member of Burke Lutheran Church, Town of Burke, Dane County. She was a member of Waterloo Business and Professional Women organization, the Royal Neighbors, and both the Waterloo VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries. Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Geah B. Hoag of Madison; a daughter, Geah L. Marshall of Columbus; five sons, Rodney (Ardith) Hanson of Madison, William (Wanda) Hanson of Cooperas Cove, TX, Donald (Peggy) Hanson of Sun Prairie, James (Brenda) Marshall of Waterloo, Joseph (Donna) Marshall of Sun Prairie; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Glenn Lothe of Rockaway Beach, MO, Arlow (Barbara) Lothe of Lac du Flambeau, WI, Duane (Elna) Lothe of DeForest; also a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was further preceded in death by her father; a sister-in-law; and a granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, in Burke Lutheran Church, Town of Burke, Dane County, with The Vicar Mark Bartusch of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Waterloo, officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Pederson Funeral Home, Waterloo, on Wednesday, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday after 10:00 a.m. until time of service. WSJ 6/20/1989
