Willard Alva Ward, son of Mrs. Alva Ward, was born September 24, 1929, in Geneva, Neb. He passed away at his mother's home near Geneva March 4, 1960, at the age of 30 years, 5 months and 10 days.
He was united in marriage to Marian Smith December 2, 1951, at the Federated church in Fairmont, Neb. To this union were born three children, Jeanne, William, and Michel.
He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church in Geneva. He was preceded in death by his father, Alva Ward, May 5, 1958.
Willard is survived by his three children, his mother, Mrs. Mable Ward and a sister, Marie, Mrs. Percy Aspegren of Geneva.
Funeral services were held at the Kritner-Farmer Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, with Dr. Walter E. Bachman officiating. Ralph Reemts, accompanied by Mrs. Willard H. Foster, sang "In the Garden" and "Beyond the Sunset." Pallbearers were Orville Dunkin, Bernard Heironymus, Kenneth Hofferber, Herbert Nichols, Ralph Nun and Jesse Richards. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
