He received a good conduct medal, the European-African Middle Eastern Campaign medal, the European Theater of Operations ribbon with five Bronze Battle Stars, the Air Medal with oak leaf clusters for meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight, and a Medal of Valor, Mediterranean Theatre of Operations, Radio Operator engaged in 50 combat missions in European Theatre in air battles.
Frank married Dolores Irene Kenzie on September 23, 1944 in East Chicago, Indiana. Together they had 5 children; Laura Lee, Linda, Alan, Tom and James
He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 369.
Member of the Catholic Order of Foresters for over 60 years.
Member of the East Chicago Firefighter Union Local 365.
Frank was a retired Ambulance Captain with 27 years of service with the East Chicago Fire Department. He established East Chicago's Emergency Medical Service and served as its first Administrator.
He was also retired from Blaw-Knox Foundry as an EMT/Security Guard with 8 years of service.
He passed away in North Carolina on May 19, 2005.
