Beverly B. Biller, 83

Beverly Byrd Biller, 83, of Bridgewater, and formerly of the Broadway/Timberville area, died Sept. 6, 2016, at the Bridgewater Home. He was born April 11, 1933, in Rockingham County and was a son of the late Robert G. and Ottie Fansler Biller.

Beverly graduated from Timberville High School in the Class of 1952. He attended American Builders College. He worked in construction, specialty advertising, and was the co-owner of Treasure Chest Antiques. He was a member of Timberville Church of the Brethren, where he served on the Board of Administration and taught Sunday school. He served two terms on Broadway Town Council and served on the Rockingham County Equalization Board.

Beverly moved to Bridgewater Retirement Community in 1997, and he and his wife traveled extensively. He enjoyed landscaping and making floral arrangements.

On June 6, 1954, he married Hilda Louise Welch, who survives.

Also surviving are one son, R. Shawn Welch and wife, Ana, of California; one sister, Margaret Cline of Timberville; and one granddaughter, Lucia.

Three brothers, Harold, Milford and Robert Biller, and two sisters, Lucille Runion and Ruby Fulk, preceded him in death.

At Beverly’s request, the graveside service will be private. The casket will be closed. Friends may call any time at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.

Flowers are welcome or donations for grounds upkeep may be made to Timberville Cemetery, c/o John Spitzer, Treasurer, 338 Robin Roost Court, Broadway, VA 22815.
