Mrs. Myrtle McCoy, 70, lifetime resident of New Harmony, died at the White County Nursing Home, Carmi, Ill., at 4:20 p.m. Monday after a long illness. She was a member of the General Baptist church, belonging to the Royal Neighbors and Rebekah lodges and was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary here. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Mitchell, Epps, LA., Mrs. Edith Linville, and Mrs. Genevieve Wilson, both of New Harmony; three sons, Homer Fisher and Donald Fisher, New Harmony and John Fisher, Grayville, Ill; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Fisher, New Harmony; Mrs. Mallie Goodman, Carmi, Ill., and 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Shoultz-Werry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Carlos Downen officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill cemetery.
