ROCKLAND - Martha D. Beauregard, 84, died Sunday, November 4, 2007 at her home after a long illness. Born in Rockland, March 12, 1923, she was one of 7 children of Joseph and Myrtle Woster Cassidy. She was educated in Rockland schools.

Most of her career, she worked as a waitress in area restaurants. Mrs. Beauregard raised her family in Rockland. For twenty-five years she lived in Hooksett, New Hampshire, and later returned to Rockland where she has since resided.

An active member of VFW Rockland Memorial Post No. 2499, she was a past president of the VFW Auxiliary. At one time, she also served as president of Stella Maris Tenants Association.

Other than her six siblings, Mrs. Beauregard was pre-deceased by her husband Marcel D. Beauregard and a daughter Judith Booth. She is survived by her sons, Richard E. Ames of Rockland, Dennis W. Ames of New York, Herbert V. Conway of Illinois, Robert Beauregard of Manchester, New Hampshire, Dennis Beauregard and his wife Mary of New Hampshire; four daughters Patricia D. Poland, Paula L. Watson both of Rockland, Sharon Petrone and her husband Joe of Concord, New Hampshire, Lynn Arnold of New Hampshire; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
