He was born June 28, 1928, in Geneva to Frank and Mary Strayve and was a life long resident of West Chicago.
Mr. Strayve attended St. Michael United Church of Christ in West Chicago.
He was a well known real estate broker in West Chicago since 1976. Prior he was assistant manager of National Tea Store in West Chicago with over 28 years of service.
He was also a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Frank graduated from West Chicago High School in 1947.
Survived by his wife, Barb, whom he married 42 years ago; his daughter, Janice Strayve of West Chicago; two sons, Chuck Strayve and Ken (Kristine) Strayve, both of West Chicago; six grandchildren, Nicole, Nathaniel, Amanda, Zachary, Hannah, and Noah; his sister Grace (Richard) Kunstman of Batavia and his canine pals Fibber McGee and Molly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.
Funeral Service will be Monday at 10 AM from the Norris-Walen Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St., West Chicago.
Rev. Todd Yonkman and the Rev. Eugene Birmingham will officiate.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Chicago.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
Contributions in Mr. Strayve's memory may be made to St. Michael United Church of Christ, 400 W. Washington St., West Chicago or One Step at a Time, summer camp for children with cancer.
