Luther Moulton Marston was the son of David Marston and Polly Wilcox. He was married first to Katie Johnson of Quebec, Canada on April 2, 1875. She passed away in October of 1877. He later moved to Massachusetts where he graduated in 1896 from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Boston. Dr. Marston lived in Lynn, Massachusetts where he took care of his late wife's mother. He was very prominent in the Christian Science Church. In 1905 he moved to Southern California, and the following year married Anna May Holly in Whittier, California. They settled in the West Adams area of Los Angeles where he ran a School of Metaphysics out of his home. He died suddenly of a stroke, and several days later Anna took her own life.
