Anna Holly Marston was the daughter of Solomon Townsend Holly and Lavina Hickcox (possibly Hitchcock). She married later in life to Luther Marston, a widower. The couple was so happy their home was known as "The Love Nest." After Luther died at the end of March 1912 Anna, despondent over his death and the poor financial situation it left her in, took her own life by closing herself in a room and turning on the gas.
