Arnold L. Mims, 72, of Clanton died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, May 5, 2010, at his residence. He was born Sunday, May 1, 1938, in Chilton County, son of the late M. Lloyd Mims and the late Flora Adams Mims. He was a carpenter.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Audrey Ann Mims of Clanton; two daughters, Mrs. Kathy (Ken) Chandler of Clanton and Mrs. Shelia (Jerry) Bolton of Clanton; 3 granddaughters, Mrs. Christy (Brandon) Giles of Calera, Mrs. Robin (Buddy) Wilson of Clanton and Ms. Miranda Chandler of Clanton; 2 grandsons, Mr. Brian Chandler of Clanton and Mr. Nic Bolton of Clanton; 2 great-grandsons, Coen Taylor Chandler of Clanton and Jackson Chandler Giles of Calera; sister, Mrs. Christine (Sam) Ballard of Clanton.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Miss Tammy Denise Mims; parents, Lloyd and Flora Mims.
Services will be held Saturday, May 8 at 11 a.m. at Refuge Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Brooks, Rev. David Reed and Rev. Mark Seales officiaing. Interment will follow in Refuge Baptist Cemetery in Clanton. Martin Funeral Home directing.
