Wayne Chaudoin, 79, of Westfield, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at Villa Pines Living Center, Friendship.

Mr. Chaudoin was born Aug. 24, 1924, in Heyworth, Illinois, to Samuel and Kitty (Masters) Chaudoin.

He married Frances Hafley on Oct. 23, 1944, in Lawton, Oklahoma.

He served with a tank battalion in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater of Operations.

He worked as an electrician in northern Illinois and Wisconsin.

Survivors include his wife, Frances of Westfield; one son, Wayne (Sheila) of Durand, Illinois; one daughter, Linda (Winton) Maki of Mosinee; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Norine Mowery and Mary Jane Yocum, both of Fairbury, Illinois, and Shirley Ann (Donald) Kush of Pleasanton, California.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Roseberry's Funeral Home, Friendship. The Rev. Winton Maki will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in the town of Springfield. Military rites will be offered by the Eubank-Ulrich-Zuelke VFW Post 8718 of Westfield.
