Kristine Allred Gabel, 45, our beloved mother, sister, daughter, and friend, was tragically taken from us on December 18, 2010.
Kris was born September 1, 1965 to Darrel and Lou Allred in Salt Lake City, UT. She graduated from Skyline High School in 1983 and attended the University of Utah where she affiliated with the Pi Beta Phi sorority and made many lifelong friends.
She married Michael Gabel in 1991; they later divorced. They were blessed with a daughter, Addison Vaughn, 15. She was again blessed with a second daughter, Olivia Grace, 7, with her longtime companion Christian Schutz.
Krissy was witty, talented, and creative. She's been described as a "classy, successful businesswoman with style and grace". She enjoyed traveling and visited many wonderful places, both home and abroad, as a flight attendant. After obtaining her real estate license, she was very instrumental in the development and success of a new real estate brokerage firm.
She loved cooking, interior decorating, and gardening, but most of all, Krissy loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her two beautiful daughters.
In addition to her parents, her daughters and their fathers, Kris is survived by her sisters LeAnn Redford (JAC), Sherrie Rice (Robert-deceased), her brothers Michael Allred, Chad Allred, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will dearly miss her.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011 in the Mount Olympus Seventh Ward Chapel, 4407 South Fortuna Way (3695 East).
Interment to be determined at a later date.
