Harold "Sam" Lee, 67, passed away peacefully April 9, 2004, at home with his family at his side. Sam was diagnosed with an aggressive liver cancer early in March of this year.

He is survived by his wife, Myrna; children, Samuel and Joni; grandchildren, Malcolm and Spencer; brother, Charles; and parents, Henry and Violet Lee.

Sam was a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army, 1979. He continued on as an Air Defense Testing consultant until officially retiring last year. Sam was also the president of the Nevada State Seniors Golf Association.

The family would like to extend a loving thank you to all of our beloved friends and extended family who have been such an enormous part of the Lee family circle for so many years.

A memorial celebration of Sam's wonderful life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 15, at Cili at the Bali Hai Golf Club, 5160 Las Vegas Blvd. South (next to Mandalay Bay). There will also be a second memorial service in Hawaii in May, where Sam's ashes will reside at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, according to his wishes.

Donations can be made to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
