TUCKER, Michael James Age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 22, 2010 in Clearwater. Michael was born June 24, 1948 in Iowa City, IA. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1971 to 1974. After retiring as a Second Lieutenant, he worked as an actuary in Kansas City and then in Clearwater. He was a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. He was an avid reader and devoted family man. He is survived by his wife, Kay; his mother, Betty Lou, and his brother, Richard and wife Buffie, both of Iowa City, IA; his children, Meridith and husband Scott Burba of Marietta, GA, James and wife Shannon of Charlotte, NC, Matthew, and Sara; and his four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Church of the Ascension, 701 Orange Ave. in Clearwater on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure , HOPE Heart Institute, or The Humane Society.
