Francis H. Rasey was the son of Daniel Brewer Rasey and Mary Taylor Rasey. He was a Private in Company C of the 37th Wisconsin Infantry. He sustained a gunshot wound on June 17, 1864 and died the following day.
Francis was married on March 22, 1862 to Eliza Melissa Schryver at Sun Prairie, Dane County, Wisconsin. They had one child, Isadore Delia Rasey, born July 25, 1863.
Sometime between July of 1866 and July of 1869 Francis was disinterred from a temporary grave and moved to Poplar Grove where he is in an unmarked grave.
