Hollis was a self employed plumber working for many years in Groton and previously had worked in Empire culvert plant. He was a 62 year member Groton Lodge #496, F.& A.M. Hollis enjoyed wintering in Frostproof, Florida for more than 30 years.
Survivors include his brother, Carlos (Alice) Bell of Brooktondale; many nieces and nephews including Janice (Bud) McFall of Groton. He was predeceased by his siblings, Verna Adams, Charlotte Bell, Leslie, Howard "Tony" and Lloyd Bell.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, December 21, 2006 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Lloyd of the Brooktondale Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 12 to 1 PM Thursday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY.
