Elizabeth Harriet Yancey was the daugther of Stith Gardner Yancey and Malvina Doureath Lydick. Her nickname was Bessie and sometimes Bettie. She married Edwin Perry Wilkinson on the 17 June 1875 in Halifax County, Virginia. Their children were Walter William, Mary D, Elizabeth Carlisle, Clarence W, Wilford Reed, Edwin Trent, Miriam Sue, Isabelle, Edwin Perry, and Willie Green. Elizabeth was a wonderful mother and loving wife. She died of typhoid fever in Goldsboro, North Carolina but she was buried in South Boston, Halifax, VA. It is likely she is buried at Oak Ridge cem, with Wilford.
