Loy Howard Robb, the son of Mamie Christina (Miller) and William Milton Robb, he was born April 30, 1917 in Miller, Missouri. He departed this life on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Webster County Community Hospital in Red Cloud, Nebraska at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 14 days.

After living for a period time at Mt. Clare, the Nebraska Sandhills and Franklin, the family settled in Guide Rock in 1927. Loy graduated from the Guide Rock High School in 1935. On June 8, 1939 he was united in marriage with Virginia Nell Dillin at St. Paul, Nebraska. This union was blessed with three children, Gene Allen, Richard Howard and Twila Kay. Throughout his life he pursued a number of jobs including the railroad during World War II, he worked as a carpenter and painter, and then farmed for many years in the Guide Rock area. Loy served for a number of years as a Webster County commissioner, and he was a member of the Guide Rock United Methodist Church. He also volunteered as a Guide Rock fireman and was a member of the Lions Club.

In his leisure time Loy had a number of interests including his passion for gardening, working the cattle, fishing, hunting and trapping. He always enjoyed a good western on tv. His greatest love and enthusiasm in life was for his family, and he especially cherished the time spent with his grandkids.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Richard Robb; grandchildren, Kory Deon Robb, Larua Kathryn and Brian Alexander; a sister, Vera Auer; and three brothers, Leo, Robert and Gordon Robb.

Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Virginia; son, Gene Robb and wife Ruth of Guide Rock, Nebraska; daughter, Twila Irvin of Phillipsburg, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Linda of Lincoln; six grandchildren: Rick Robb and wife Diane; Karla Robb; Dave Robb and wife Cristi; Darin Robb; Mike Robb and wife Katie, and Corinne Goracke and husband Brian; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Rita May Schuch of San Jose, California; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Webster County Community Hospital or the Guide Rock United Methodist Church.
