Services for Lula Banta, 64 or 1512 South Arch, will be 2pm Tuesday at the Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Roger Briggs is in charge. Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park.

Mrs. Banta died at 6:02 am Saturday at Levering Hospital. She was born July 25, 1915 in Hannibal to Joseph Benjamin and Clara W. James Cornelius. She was married to George L. Banta on Jan. 6, 1936 in Hannibal and he died on Oct. 5, 1967.

Other survivors include one son Daniel J. Banta of Payson, IL; two brothers, George and Walter Cornelius of Hannibal, one sister, Ardella Cornelius Maddox, and five grandchildren.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the Fidelis Sunday school class, the Auxiliary of the Burlington Firemen and Enginemen and the Burlington Veterans Auxiliary.

Visitation will be after 5pm today at the Clark Funeral Home and from noon until time of the services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Glenn, William and David Cornelius, Frand and Walter Maddox and Arthur Bramblett.
