— McCLURE — James W. "Jim" Klingler, 94, of Back Mountain Road, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at RiverWoods, Lewisburg.

He was born Aug. 1, 1916, in Middlecreek, the son of the late Curvin R. and Nita M. (Smith) Klingler. On March 31, 1945, he married the former J. Lucille Shive, who survives.

He was a graduate of Beaver Vocational High School.

Jim retired from the family business, C.R. Klingler Feed Mill, Middlecreek, where he began working as a child.

He was a lifetime member of the McClure Rod and Gun Club.

Jim was an avid follower of West Snyder soccer, wrestling and baseball, and he enjoyed hunting.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Rita J. and Melvin Longacre, of Middleburg, and Joanne L. Klingler, of McClure; one sister-in-law, Marian Schilling, of Ohio; and five nieces and nephews, John Klingler and wife MariEtta, Barbara Straw and husband Barry, Kyle Schilling and wife Gerry, David Schilling and wife Candy and Edward Shive.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Lester Klingler.

Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Pheasant Funeral Home, Beavertown, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Donald Wise officiating.

Burial will follow in McClure Union Cemetery.
