Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Samuel and Myrle (Krill) Ehrnfeldt.
Earl was employed as a forklift mechanic for Modern Material Handling, West Reading, for 27 years, retiring in 1995.
He was a 1950 graduate of Reading High School and attended Muhlenberg College. He was a member of Mohnton Rod & Gun Club and enjoyed fixing cars and watching television.
In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by his son, Peter D. Ehrnfeldt, Shillington; two brothers, Jesse Ehrnfeldt, Richmond, Va.; and Dennis Ehrnfeldt, Wyomissing; and two sisters, Fern Garmer and Sheryl Strippling, both of Bernville.
He was predeceased by his sister, Lynn Kerner.
Funeral services will be from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 1 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington, on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert G. Argot officiating.
Interment will be in Christ Yocoms Lutheran Church Cemetery, Grill. Viewing will be Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
