He was born in Philadelphia and lived in Levittown most of his adult life.
Jim was also known as 'Jimmy Trotter' to many of his close friends and family. He was a Heavy Highway Construction Laborer in Local No. 57.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael J. Darcy, and a sister, Cynthia White.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Marjorie Leigh Stover; his mother, Margaret Jean Palmer of Florida; five sisters and brothers, Billie Jean Erthel, William Darcy, Christopher Trotter, Danielle Trotter and Shannon McDonald; mother and father-in-law, Howard and Mary Ellen Leigh Stover; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited for a viewing starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 6 at Carter Funeral Home, 314 Cedar St., Bristol. Interment will be held privately. Carter Funeral Home, Bristol.
A memorial service will be held sometime in the early spring when a headstone can be placed upon Jim's final resting place in the Tullytown Cemetery.
