PRATT - Winifred "Winnie" Ellen Staples, 83, died Jan. 10, 2008, at Lakewood of Seville, Wichita.
...She was born Jan. 15, 1924, in Belvidere, the daughter of James and Margaret Tofya Barnes. She was a resident of Wichita, formerly of Pratt.
...She belonged to the Free Methodist Church, and the Lorraine Chapter No.39 Order of the Eastern Star; all in Pratt.
...On June 1, 1940, she married Clarence Barker in Cimarron. He died July 18, 1964. On Sept. 5, 1975, she married Frank E. Staples in Tucumcari, N.M. He died Aug. 26, 2005.
...Survivors include: two sons; a daughter; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
...Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt, with Rev. Floyd Hopkins presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cem., Pratt.
