PAULA CECILIA DALIER

Age 98 years
Daughter of the late Paul Frank Dalier and Marie Sabathier Dalier.
Sister of the late Paul Henry Dalier and Florine F. Dalier Zylicz.
She earned a B.A. and Masters Degree from Loyola University and taught at McDonogh 12 and McDonogh 19 schools, then became district supervisor of testing. She served as principal at William T. Frantz and Henry C. Schaumburg Schools. She was the first president of Alpha Delta Kappa and member of Delta Kappa Gamma honor societies.
She is survived by nephews Paul H. and Lloyd Dalier ; nieces Charlotte Leach, Elizabeth Falgoust, Ann Dunn, Barbara Palestina, and Lisa Hebert.
Survived also by grandnephews and nieces Wayne Wellmeier, Joshua Hebert, Christopher Murphy, A.J. and Leah Palestina, William Leach, Mark Leach, Natalie Barton, Joseph Heckmann, Wendy Taube, Nancy Howard, and Nicole Dalier.
Cousins Doris Ann Moreau, Gail Franchina, Anna Mae Caillouet, Frank Dalier, and Louise Rinaldo also survive her.
She leaves behind dear friends Gerd Klaveness, Jolise Heiderhoff, Debbie and Andres Rubiano; Hannah Cunningham, Tony Ann and Tom Causin; Lottie Stewart; and caregiver Deloris Minor.
In addition to her parents and her siblings, she was preceded in death by grandnephew Shane Paul Waguespack and cousin Claire Bordes.
She will be greatly missed.
Funeral Mass was held on Monday, 13 April 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana. Visitation held 11:00 a.m. until mass time. A reception for family and friends immediately followed the services at the Norwegian Seaman's Church, 1772 Prytania Street, New Orleans, Louisiana, 70130.
Interred in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum, New Orleans, Louisiana.
