On January 9,1881, Wiley married a very young lady, Mary Josephine Orr. Wiley then sold the farm on which the cemetery is located, and moved to Arkansas, along with several of his chldren. His son, Shelby Franklin Hicks stayed in the area and made his home in Schell City, Venron County, Missouri, where he and some of his family are buried.
