Mary Jane Richey, the fourth child of William Richey and Elizabeth Crawford, was born in Wayne County, Ohio in about 1837. She married first Edmond Dull, on 17 Jan 1856 in Wayne Co., Ohio. They had five children:
William Henry b. 1856, Mary Ellen b. 1858, John M. b. 1859, Lydia Leora b. 1860, and Joseph Beatty b. 1862. The first three were born in Wayne Co., Ohio.

In 1860, Edmond and Mary Jane moved with her parents to Kendallville, Noble, Indiana, where the last two children were born.

Edmond died on 3 Sep 1862 and is buried in Kendallville.

Mary Jane moved to Muscatine, Iowa, with her mother and brother, her father having died 20 days after her husband.

She married Irvin M. Brush, 6 Apr 1867, in Muscatine County. They had two children:
Charles Ulysses b. 1871, who was born in Muscatine County. They moved to Macon Co., Missouri, where the last child Arthur W. was born in 1874.

Mary Jane died, probably in La Plata, leaving her husband and children to mourn her passing.
