Alfred Beane was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on December 13, 1924. He married Helen Taylor on June 3rd, 1950. They had 3 sons, Carleton E., Darryl S. and Alan M.who still reside in the Springfield area. He worked for several bakeries over the years, and was very active in union, and credit union affairs. The Family moved to Agawam in 1955, then to the Feeding Hills section of Agawam in 1963 and lived there until his death. Mr. Beane was a devoted family man and a life long Red Sox fan. He passed away of complications of diabetes and a stroke on December 27, 1990.

He was cremated and interred at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, in Springfield, Massachusetts.
