STOCKGBRIDGE – Died on Tuesday evening last of black diphtheria, Florence Sheriff, daughter of A. D. and Mary Sheriff, aged 7 years, 2 weeks and 6 days.
She leaves several brothers and sisters who have been exposed to the disease. It is hoped that they will not have to suffer as the parents have taken great pains to fumigate the house and also to prevent the disease from spreading. It is the only case known of in this vicinity at present.
