WEST POINT - James H. "Jimmy" Geron, 62, of West Point, Va., died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011.
He was a U.S. Army veteran stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. Jimmy was a self employed forestry consultant.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Adam Geron; a sister, Barbara Musante; and a brother, George Geron.
He was a devoted husband, loving father and affectionately known as "PamPa" by his granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna Geron; twin daughters and their husbands, Dawn and Tim Greggs, Robin and Scott South; a granddaughter, Sydney Greggs; his mother, Annie Geron; brothers, Adam Geron and Robert Geron; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3750 King William Avenue, West Point, Va. Burial will follow in St. Theresa Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Vincent Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 417 11th Street, West Point, Va.
