She was the widow of Walter Joseph Zanis, who died June 30, 1986.
Born in Westchester, N.Y., she was the only child of Leonard F. and Anna A. (Tump) Ruckert.
She was a graduate of Kingston (N.Y.) High School and Benedictine Hospital School of Nursing, Kingston; and attended Columbia University.
Anne was a member of St. John the Baptist de La Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.
She was employed a number of years as a registered nurse for several hospitals in New York City.
Anne was a member of the Catholic Women's Club, Camp Fire Girls and was a former judge of elections for Shillington borough.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (Zanis), wife of Richard H. Buchanan, Shillington.
Other survivors include a granddaughter, Michelle Ann (Robinson), wife of Anthony J. D'Alessandro, Forest Hills, Md.; and two great-grandchildren, Luca J. and Oliva A., both at home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 1 p.m. in St. John's RC Church, Kerrick and Mitti roads, Shillington. Viewings will be held today from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, and Friday from 12:30 p.m. until time of Mass in the church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township.
