SUSAN A. ANKROM was born in Tyler county, W. Va., Oct. 23, 1857. She was united in marriage to M. G. Sayre, March 17, 1892. She was a consistent member of the M. E. Church South, Epworth League and St. Marys Court No. 4, T. B. H. She was a devoted wife and a noble type of American womanhood. After a lingering illness during which she never murmured but with resignation to the Divine will, peacefully approached the end, which came Oct. 7, 1901, surrounded by her friends and loved ones. She leaves a husband, one sister and two brothers to mourn their loss. Her body was laid to rest in Woodlawn cemetery, Zanesville, Ohio. She will be missed in the church she loved so well and by the many sons and daughters of Hur, with whom she loved to meet in the lodge room.
