Rodney K McKean, 45, died Wednesday, December 19, 1990 at St. Benedict's Hospital after a courageous battle with life due to his injuries. He is now at peace. 45 yrs 7 mos 23 dys
He was born April 26, 1945 in Ogden, the son of Roy Jr. and Vola Blair McKean.
He married Connie Rae Kappelman on April 10, 1970 in Evanston, Wyo.
He was a life-long resident of Ogden, attending the Ogden City Schools; Mound Fort and Ben Lomond High School.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting, working with his computer and being with his friends.
He was a veteran of the Viet Nam War serving with the U.S. Navy Com-Sub-Pak from 1962 to 1966.
He had been a self-employed painting contractor.
Surviving are his wife of Ogden; one son and one daughter, Corey Lyn McKean and Kristal Kae McKean, both of Ogden.
Also surviving are his mother of Ogden and one sister, Mrs. Vance (Conie) Wilson, Pendleton, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Roylene.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 2519 Jefferson Avenue, with the Rev. Kevin B. Miller-Lindley officiating.
Friends may call at the Church on Saturday from 9 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
Funeral directors, Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary.
