Drain. March 10. George H. Carey, 81, died Thursday evening at his home in south Drain, after a long illness. He was born in West Virginia on Sept. 27, 1854. He was united in marriage to Minnie Gobole (sic) in (1864?) and seven children were born to this union. The family has resided in this vicinity for 32 years, having come from Minnesota. He is survived by his widow: three daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Gilman, of Curtin, Mrs. Amy De Lannay of Drain, Mrs. Hazel Perini of Divide: three sons, Will Carey of Drain, Fred and Dade of Minnesota; and other relatives. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the church of Christ, E.J. Helseth officiating, and interment was in the cemetery at Sunnydale.
