Mrs. Lacy passed away Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at her home. She was born in Pecan Gap on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 1935, to the late Arthur Monroe Scoggins and Ollie Mae Tevis Scoggins.
She married John Melvin Lacy, on Aug. 30, 1957.
Mrs. Lacy was the valedictorian of the 1953 class of Pecan Gap High School.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Odell Scoggins, and sisters, Judy Shipman, Frances Holcomb and Zelma Burt.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to American Cancer Society , Attention: Pancreatic Cancer Research; American Diabetes Association ; or a charity of your choice.
