Mr. Cleet Milson Gates, age 92 of Kennard, passed away Monday, June 27, 2005 in E.T.M.C.-Crockett. Mr. Gates was born December 24, 1912 to Thomas Edgar and Cora Dell Goodson Gates in Crockett. Mr. Gates was a farmer in his early years and later worked at a sawmill scaling and sawing logs.
Survivors include his children Thomas and Kay Gates, of Trinity, Enice Zalesky, of Kennard, Aubrey and Joyce Gates, of Logans Port, La., Raymond and Martha Gates, of Apple Springs, Harold Cleet Gates and Betty, of Tehuacana and Jonnie and Eugene Arnold, of Hubbard; brothers and sisters Tiny Bell Campbell, Elmer Smotherman, Clayburn Gates and wife Lucile and Fannie Maude Sides and Husband Jessie; 23 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife Eva Pearl Alexander Gates; grandson Jeffery Lynn Gates.
Funeral Services for Mr. Cleet Milson Gate wre held Wednesday, June 29, at 11:00 a.m. at Truth Tabernacle with Brother Grady Gladden officiating. Interment followed in the Ivey cemetery in Houston County.
