She was born on Jan. 15, 1973, in Westbrook, the daughter of Vincent James Kennedy and Cynthia Lee Loring. Cynthia was educated locally and was a 1991 graduate of Portland High School. She attended Pierre's School of Beauty.
Cynthia was employed at Wright Express for three years; Pierce Promotions; and she also previously worked for Unum.
Cynthia was full of life. She loved her time with her children. She was a member of Toastmasters and she volunteered as a Motivational Speaker for Gastric Bypass patients. She enjoyed dancing.
Surviving Cynthia are her father, Vincent Kennedy Jr. of Tewksbury, Mass., her mother, Cynthia Kennedy and her fiance Jim Cleaves of North Windham; a daughter, Camryn Michaud, a son, Trevor Michaud, both of North Waterboro; two sisters, Christina Kennedy of Haverhill, Mass., April Kennedy of Santa Monica, Calif., two brothers, Anthony Kennedy of Tewksbury, Mass., Vincent Kennedy III of Dracut, Mass.; paternal grandmother, Irma Kennedy of Casco; nieces, Gracen and Claudia Lajoie; and several aunts and uncles.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 7, at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. A 10 a.m. funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 8, at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 72 Federal St., Portland. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
