Andrew S. Ertel, age 27, of 4626 West Reineking Drive, Sheboygan, was called home to his Lord on January 6, 2011.
He was born in Sheboygan on June 21, 1983, a son of Steven and Teresa (Boeselager) Ertel. Andrew attended schools in Sheboygan.
Surviving Andrew are his loving parents, Steven and Teresa; one brother, Matthew of Sheboygan; his uncles and aunts, Mike and Allie Boeselager of Maribel, WI and Pat and Jim Smith of Kewaskum, WI, and his cousins, Adam Boeselager and Stephanie Boeselager, Nicole Hiatt and Ruben Oppermann. Also surviving is Andrew's special friend, Hannah Kuehmichel.
Andrew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard Ertel, Shirley and Ed Zastrow; maternal grandparents, Omar and Gladys Boeselager; his uncle, Ruben Oppermann; and infant cousins, David and Steven Boeselager
A Funeral service will be held for Andrew on Tuesday January 11, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at the Sheboygan Evangelical Free Church, 1710 N 15th Street. Reverend Jon MacDonald and Reverend Gary Hylander will officiate. Committal service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Wednesday January 12, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Friends of the Ertel family may call at the church on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Andrew's name to the Foundation for His Ministry.
His passion at the end of his life was to know his God and seek His face. Andrew's joy was to serve his Savior the Lord Jesus Christ.
