Charles Edward Ritten is named for Charles Edward Lewis, a prominent Minneapolis grain broker. Lewis built a hunting lodge just southeast of the town of Lewis, located in northwestern Wisconsin. The lodge, named Seven Pines, was a 1903 Adirondack-style fishing camp set above a spring-fed trout stream. It still stands and there are a great deal of pictures on the walls and in storage there which may be a source of pictures of a 30 - 50 year old Louie Ritten, Charles' father. - submitted by Lou Ritten II, in March, 2000
