Suggested edit: Roderick is the biological child of Martha Pharibe/Pharaby/Phoebe but NOT John. Based on extensive research, I have yet to determine his biological father. In the 1850 census, he is found in the household of his grandmother Lucinda Breeden along with his mother. (John was only 16 years old and living with his mother and siblings in another county in 1850.) John and Martha married in 1855 and in the 1860 census, Roderic's surname is actually given as Anderson, but apparently Roderick began using the surname Kirby while still in the household of his mother and siblings. No record of formal adoption or legal name change has been located. Can you remove his link to John but keep him as child of Martha, please to keep the record accurate? Thank you in advance.

Suggested edit: Roderick's date of birth is listed as 28 April 1949 (one day earlier than on his tombstone) in family Bible records in my possession.

Suggested edit: He also used the name Anderson Webb for several years in later life. Daughter Ida lists father's names as Anderson Webb on legal papers. Roderick Anderson Webb at birth, there are no papers known to prove he was ever formally adopted by John Kirby, who raised him after marriage to Roderick's mother.
