Robert Joseph Stanfill, Jr., born November 7, 1956 in Salem, Oregon, passed away May 30, 2010 in Houston, Texas. Robert is survived by his partner, Jesus "Jesse" Gonzalez; mother, Veleta M. Jones; father, William C. Jones; sister, Karen V. Stanfill; siblings, Sherry Robinson and husband, Mike, and Jerry Jones and wife, Crystal; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family, and so many, many friends. A special heartfelt thanks to the staff at M.D. Anderson and all the family, friends, and co-workers who brought such comfort to Robert in his last days.
A celebration of Robert's life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home, where friends are invited to visit with the family for an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
