My ggrandfather is Abner C. Luker and was born out of wedlock 7 January 1876. His mother, Clara Elisa Luke, died one month later on 17 February 1786 and Abner was raised by Frederick and Emeline Luke (Loka, Luka, Lukes, Luker) who immigrated from Prussia with the surname Loka. US Census has them listed under several different names and has made finding them very difficult. I have been unable to locate Abner's grave anywhere. Abner's son is James A. Luker, my grandfather and Bonnie's father. James (Jim) is buried with his wife Mary beside Bonnie, my mother.

Yuvonne Louise "Bonnie" Luker Christy Cornwall, former resident of Denton, Texas, died Oct. 13, 2010.
She was born on Aug. 30, 1942, in Uniontown, Kan.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; a daughter, Carla Christy; son, Jeff Christy and step-son, Thomas Cornwall; nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, one brother, Eldon Luker; and three sisters, Lois Wynn, Lucile Ward, and Phyllis Randall.

There will be a memorial service for Bonnie on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at 2 p.m., at Paint Creek Church of the Brethren, Redfield, Kansas.

A graveside memorial service for her ashes will follow at Marion Cemetary located next to Paint Creek Church, with dinner provided by the ladies of the church after services.
